Where it began.

 Hi Beautiful Souls,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my website. I hope you will find pieces of my story, my life, my fears, my falls and my triumphs relatable.  My goal is to show you the importance of showing up for people in a genuine and authentic way.

A quick walk through my journey...

While growing up in the Kootenay's (British Columbia), my family owned and operated a successful business that inspired me to be the entrepreneur that I am today.

Gabriel's Restaurant was opened by my father in 1980 (in Castlegar, BC): I began working at the restaurant at age 11 and  I quickly developed a real passion for understanding all layers of the business.  I learned at a young age that you need to work hard in order to be successful, that your people make your business, and that you can't only manage from the outside (you need to get your hands dirty and really walk the walk).  I worked the family business until we closed in 2003 when I realized I was not quite ready to plant my roots; I had more to learn and experience in the world. The year 2003 marked the start of my incredible 6.5-year journey with lululemon Athletica. Throughout my time with Lululemon, I really started to understand my strengths in leading teams and business, but also how a value-based culture creates an effective, profitable and sustainable environment like no other.

Fast forward to March of 2010.

I found out I was pregnant with my son Sawyer on my last day of work from lululemon  (crazy right?? LOL thank you, universe for that divine timing). I was exhausted, worn thin from my work, and was dealing with some challenges. On top of it all, I had just quit my job and was feeling completely lost. At that point, I decided to move back to Castlegar to be with my family.

I started over from scratch.

I created Thrive Consulting in February 2012 - a collaboration of all my tools, strengths and passions. In 2013, my family grew by one more gem (a little girl, Peyton) and 2 years later, I chose to become a single parent.

In June 2015, I became certified as a High Performance Coach with my mentor Brendon Burchard; it was a missing piece in my professional life and a connecting piece to my own personal journey.  I returned home from this trip with a new sense of purpose along with new tools to help me set my mission on fire!

Over the last 5 years, a lot has shifted and changed. I’ve had the incredible experience of coaching for a Fortune 5000 company globally while achieving an extraordinary reputation for the quality of my 1:1 coaching.

I became certified as a yoga instructor and as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. I have culminated my 20 years of experience, skills and tools to create The Freedom Business Model™ & SHIFTED Business Academy for my entrepreneurial expert clients.

When I started my company, I knew what I wanted to create, and I stepped into action and confidence as an expert without a road map on how to get there or on how to build that kind of business model. This ended up being a huge blessing because I didn’t get in my way 😬.

Flash forward into the last ten years…not only did I dig deep into my development but I also studied with the world’s best in the coaching field, and in the area of building a 7-figure digital business.

I see so many people get stuck when it comes to positioning themselves as an expert in their field and (or) not having a proven process that will allow them to build a flexible, profitable and aligned business of their dreams! Also, I see those same individuals suffer from the Imposter Syndrome, which hinders them from stepping into action and putting themselves out online with ease and joy.

I equally see so many people start, and when it gets hard, they quit, get discouraged and take shortcuts instead of doing the work to build the business properly.
